Car crash leaves 4 people dead, 1 with life-threatening injuries in Meridian

The Ada County Sheriff's Office is investigating afatal head-on truck crash in the 5000 block of W. Cherry Lane in Meridian Friday.

According to the Ada County Sheriff's Office, four people died and another person has life-threatening injuries.

Ada County Sheriff's Office reported a Ford 250 pickup going eastbound on W. Cherry Lane collided with a Nissan Titan pickup, which was pulling a trailer and going westbound, just after 7:30 p.m.

"It is unclear which truck crossed over but the collision was devastating," the sheriff's office stated in a tweet.

The male adult driver of the Ford 250, who was in the truck alone, died from the force of impact. According to deputies, there were four adult men in the Nissan pickup. Three of those men were pronounced dead at the scene. The fourth was transported by paramedics for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

W. Cherry Lane is closed just west of Black Cat until further notice so investigators can work.
