MERIDIAN, Idaho (CBS2) — SCHEELShas almost every sport you can think of, whether you want to buy equipment to take outside or play on one of their golf or baseball simulators.
"We have a little bit of everything," said SCHEELS Assistant Store Leader Josh Reinhart. "You can come in, get your backpack, get your water bottle for your first day of school. You can head downstairs and get your outfits picked out for the entire week and then you can come upstairs and get all the equipment that you need for all your seasonal sports throughout the year."
SCHEELS has a variety of sports departments that accommodate children and adults alike. I started my tour in the golf section.
"SCHEELS offers a premium custom fitting experience. All of our fitters are certified by the best brands in golf," said Assistant Store Leader Adam Becker. "We definitely like to have a broad selection of that kind of good, better, best."
The golf section in SCHEELS is extremely comprehensive and it's just one of the many areas in the store dedicated to helping you with whatever sport you're interested in.
"What really is going to set us apart is the experience that you're going to get when you come here," said Assistant Store LeaderJosh Reinhart. "If you come in looking for a basketball, we're going to help you find the right size. If you come here looking for football pads, we're gonna get you fitted to make sure it's the proper set."
Something that sets SCHEELS apart is that their employees can demo their equipment to understand what customers should expect.
"If you were a ski seller you could demo some new products from in the ski category or snowboard category and we encourage them to take the product out, test it, try it and then come back and let us know how it is," said Assistant Store LeaderJason Mabey. "If you can say, 'I've actually done that' and say it truthfully, that means something to the customer when you're selling."
If you ever have an issue with your purchase, SCHEELS has a repair shop. You do not have to bring an item purchased at Scheels to get it repaired.
"We service all makes and models of fitness equipment and ski, alpine and cross-country skis as well," said Mabey.
SCHEELS opens April 6 at 9:30 am. Their parking lot party begins at 7 a.m. at 700 S. Wayfinder Ave. in Meridian. They hope to see you there.
